Opening The Heart

Did I ever tell you that the heart is my favorite to read intuitively?
I lovingly refer to the heart as the biggest tattletale because as I am intuitively reading the body it's the heart that tells me everything about an individual, from the wonders to wounds to the life and soul lessons now embodied as spiritual virtues and profound wisdom.
The heart is the integration center where we refamiliarize ourselves with the path of self-love. But self-love is a recipe that requires a variety of top shelf ingredients that take time to cultivate.
Our desire for self-love is potent because deep inside we know this love would heal everything. But there are steps we just can't skip and habits that require shifting if we expect to fully embody self-love.
One of the habits I see so often is–striving for self improvement through the looking glass of regrets, perceived failures, past mistakes, the wish I would have or I should have– that anchors us to our past and the belief is that this keeps us motivated to do better next time. And, truthfully, it works but with limitations. The problem is that in this reflection we leave out all the qualities that genuinely make us who we are, at our core, as spiritual beings in this human experience. When we learn how to blend both–self improvement and our core essence– we are forgiving towards ourselves and this allows us to navigate our healing path gracefully.
This last full moon was in Cancer and it helped illuminate regrets I was holding onto deep within my heart that opened the watery floodgates of emotion. As I welcomed the tears, I connected to a belief that I hated myself because I had harmed myself and others either with words spoken and unspoken (those dang thoughts) or actions. With softness, I acknowledged the harm I caused to myself whether it was harming myself by harming others or harming myself through my own actions towards self.
--One of the sad truths is that many of us have created an unhealthy pattern where we harbor self hatred as a form of correction or repentance instead of embracing forgiveness. But, wow, forgiveness is so incredibly healing to our physical and spiritual bodies--
So, of course I went deeper.
Authentic self-love only exists in radically authentic self-acceptance, self-respect and the honoring of self (the top shelf ingredients we are cultivating:). Like many of you, I do lovingly accept, respect and honor so many things about myself . BUT, there are several branches within our belief system to follow within each of these aspects that I am often guided to explore and to go deeper so that I have a greater understanding of what it means to be a human being in a soul growth cycle.

As we heal, we evolve and experience more complexity in our beliefs.
When we first begin exploring our beliefs and patterns we are initially unveiling beliefs from this lifetime. Once we conquer this lifetime (okay, somewhat conquer this lifetime lol) we move into beliefs that we are carrying for our beloved ancestors and for other lifetimes. Then we move on to beliefs connected to our soul.
On my own healing journey, self-acceptance has been one of my core classes. Faced with some pretty radical rejection I learned that somehow I didn't fit the mold so I formed the pattern of self-rejection. Over time, I found my way back to my center and understood that my self-worth wasn't in anybody else's hands. And, on my way back to center I accepted so much about myself. But here’s the thing, there is always more and you don't know until you know, right!
So, back to the full moon lol. The healing and insights lasted a few days and what came through was that I had reached a point in my rejection/acceptance cycle that I was now inviting in the acceptance of my light, my life and my existence more deeply connected to my soul experience. Basically, that it is time to allow a deeper merging of my soul in this human experience.
I am sharing this because this is an invitation for all of us. It is time to allow a deeper merging of your soul into this human experience. The heart and soul share space within your body as the soul rests behind your heart space. 2026 is supporting the expansion of heart energy and I want us all to be in the receiving mode to soak in the transformation. So, take some time to nestle in the comfort of your heart to remember all the things that make you the treasure and with gentleness, explore what is holding you back from an expanded heart.
